When I turned 49 in May 2008, I decided I wanted to go from a sedentary lifestyle to an active one. When I started this blog, I wasn’t going on another diet. Plans change and I found myself back at Weight Watchers in July because I was getting nowhere on my own. It was the best thing I could have ever done for myself.
As of today, Sept 14, 2009, I’m down 61.2 pounds, I’m running, swimming and biking, I completed a duathlon in April, my first mini triathlon on August 1 and the Trek Women Sprint Triathlon (400-meter swim, 9-mile bike, 3.1-mile run) on Sept. 13, where I took 3rd place in the Athena category!
Now that triathlon season is over until Spring, I’ll be checking out Pilates, Zumba and working on strength training along with my triathlon training. I’ll be looking for some runs this fall and I can’t wait until next year’s Tri season.
I still have weight to lose, but I’m definitely a Fit Girl now!
